The Pallo Coffeetool is a unique 3-in-1 espresso machine cleaning tool. At one end of the Coffeetool you’ll find a brush designed to scrub the group head and around the gasket. After you’ve pulled a shot, remove the portafilter and flip the brew switch so that clean hot water flows and removes spent grounds stuck to the shower screen. Use the group brush to scrub the group head and around the gasket. When the bristles wear from use, simply replace them. Unscrew the old brush and screw in a new one. No need to replace the entire tool. Replacement bristles are sold in packs of three and cost a fraction of replacing the entire tool.
Note the raised ridges on the Coffeetool handle. When you’re scrubing the group head, hot water tends to run down a regular group brush handle towards your hand. The ridges on the Coffeetool handle deflect that hot water. A few little raised ridges seem insignificant, until you notice you’re not being burned.
On the same end as the brush you’ll find a little metal poker. That’s a replaceable steam wand vent poker designed to unclog the steam tip and remove dried milk.
Finally, at the other end of the Coffeetool group brush you’ll find a detergent spoon for measuring espresso machine cleaner. This spoon ensures you don’t use too much detergent when backflushing.
