Although Bodum's double walled espresso shot glasses are hand-blown, you can depend on their durability. Each of the three models featured here are made of a very strong, yet light-weight glass called borosilicate glass. Borosilicate is simply a different type of glass. It's the kind commonly used in the production of medical-grade glassware. It’s a bit thinner than traditional “soda lime” glass, however, it’s more resistant to temperature swings and scratching.
The Bodum espresso shot glasses are dishwasher and microwave safe. No coaster is needed because they are double-walled. Borosilicate glass will not become cloudy over time. For best results retaining heat, preheat the glasses before use.
