The Saeco Brewing System - "SBS"
The Talea Giro offers the new Saeco Brewing System that allows you to make an endless variety of coffees with just one turn of a dial. Whether it is a strong Italian espresso (turning the knob to the right) or an American-style long coffee (turning the knob to the left) SBS concentrates all the aroma in the cup, offering a truly full-flavored, creamy espresso.

Fully Automatic Espresso & Coffee Brewing
Do you like to start your day with an espresso, but don’t want to have to clean up the mess? Just press the button and the Saeco Talea Giro will automatically grind your coffee beans, and dispense freshly brewed espresso into your cup. The Saeco S-TG-ST allows you to choose the volume and strength of your coffee or espresso. After brewing, the Talea Giro cleans up and is ready for the next order in less than 30 seconds.

Utilize the enormous flexibility of this machine’s programming options by varying the water volume up to 7 ounces and the coffee dose up to 9 grams. By experimenting with the water volume and grams of ground coffee you can fine-tune your espresso shot and easily program these parameters into the memory.

Ceramic Coffee Grinder
The ceramic grinder is one of Saeco's most recent innovations. After careful research, Saeco finally chose this material to put an end to grinding with metal components. A ceramic grinder ensures the best results without altering the flavor of coffee. The new ceramic grinder also provides a more even grind and reduces the amount of coffee residue left in the cup. Thanks to its sturdy build, the ceramic coffee grinder will go on grinding to the same high standard for a long time.

Hot Water Dispenser & Rapid-Steam®Technology
Other systems can have you waiting up to 45 seconds for the steam function to be ready, but not with the Rapid-Steam® Technology utitlized on the Talea Giro. This patented technology provides abundant and consistent steam for repeated milk-based drinks.

The milk frothing tip is designed to make frothing easy. The steam wand is located on the right front of the machine and it accommodates frothing pitchers up to 32 oz. If you need instant hot water for making tea, hot cocoa, or Americanos, just press a button.

Pre-infusion Brew System
For maximum brewing flavor, the Talea Giro will pre-infuse the ground coffee. The grounds are pre-soaked with a little hot water and then brewed before being automatically discarded into the internal dump box. The machine then resets itself for the next brewing cycle.

Built-in 57 Ounce Water Tank
The water reservoir can easily be refilled while it is still on the machine. It can also be removed with the easy-grip handle and filled at the kitchen tap. The reservoir is made of clear ABS plastic so checking the water level is a breeze.

Coffee Bean Storage Hopper & Internal Waste Box
The built-in, lidded coffee bean hopper holds ¼ lbs of coffee beans. The internal dump box can hold up to 15 expended coffee portions. The internal dump box is easy to remove and clean.

Stainless Steel Heating System
The Talea Giro is a durable machine thanks to the 1200 watt stainless steel boiler. It provides for continuous use or a lot of servings over a short time period.

Heated Cup Stacking Surface
The Saeco Talea Giro features a heated cup-stacking surface for keeping those espresso cups toasty warm.

Operational Lights and Indicators
The machine uses a system of lights and indicators to help you monitor the brewing process. It signals when the machine needs to be re-supplied with water or coffee beans and when it needs to be cleaned.

Adjustable Drip Tray

Sold Separately - Saeco Milk Island
The Saeco Milk Island is an automated milk frothing system that plugs into the bottom of the machine. Simply pour the desired amount of fresh cold milk into the carafe. Press the froth button on the machine and watch as the milk in the carafe is perfectly steamed and frothed for your latte or cappuccino. Note that the milk island does not ship with the machine. The Talea Giro is simply milk island compatible.

Cleaning & Maintenance of Components
To keep the inside of your machine healthy, it must be cleaned periodically. Scale buildup from naturally occurring minerals in water can accumulate on sensitive components like the inside of the boiler. Left unchecked, the deposits can cause considerable damage to the machine. By descaling your machine every two-three months, your machine will last for many trouble-free years. Refer to your instruction manual for detailed information. The Talea Giro will alert you when it’s time to activate the self-clean system. After adding desclaer, just press the clean button. The machine will take it from there.

Used coffee grounds are collected in the internal dump box, which can hold up to 15 spent portions of coffee before it requires emptying. Wastewater left over from the rinsing cycles is stored in a removable drip tray. When the indicator light illuminates, simply pull out the tray, empty and reinsert in seconds. All components such as the used grounds container, drip tray, and water tank can be hand washed with regular soap and water.
