The Saeco Talea Ring Plus espresso machine features a fully automated milk frothing system called the Saeco Milk Island. Simply pour the desired amount of fresh cold milk into the carafe. Press the froth button on the machine and watch as the milk in the carafe is perfectly steamed and frothed. You also have the capability to use the conventional steam and frothing wand located on the left-front of the machine.

With the advanced features of the Saeco Talea Ring Plus you can: follow prompts on the digital message screen, program coffee strength and ounces to be brewed per cup, switch between espresso or coffee options instantly, change coffee temperature, use pre-ground coffee in addition to whole coffee beans, adjust the built-in coffee grinder for fine tuning, program the pre-brew coffee conditioning system, view messages in multiple languages, view the cup counter, program the energy saving mode and timer, adjust the water hardness setting, dispense hot water for tea or hot chocolate, and more. The Talea Ring Plus remembers all of the settings you program, even the grind settings.

Saeco S-TRP-ST Pre-Ground Coffee Option
This option allows you to use whole coffee beans or pre-ground beans. To use the pre-ground option, pour pre-ground coffee into a funnel that is accessed by lifting a small lid on top of the machine. Select the "pre-ground" option using the Ring control, then pour pre-ground coffee into the coffee receptacle on top of the machine. Push the brew button and your done. After making a cup of coffee with the pre-ground option, the machine automatically resets back to the beans held in the machine.

Pre-infusion Brew System Cycle
Pre-infusion allows you to get maximum flavor from the brewing process. The Talea Ring Plus takes the newly ground coffee beans from the internal coffee grinder and correctly tamps the coffee. Next it injects a little hot water into the freshly ground coffee. This is done just before the actual brew cycle commences. The grounds are pre-soaked and then brewed before being discarded into the internal dump box. The machine then resets itself for the next brewing cycle. In addition, there are options for setting the pre-infusion cycle and infusion time.

The Saeco Brewing System - SBS
The Saeco Talea Ring Plus features the patented Saeco Brewing System (SBS) This ingenious system allows you to make an infinite variety of coffee at the mere twist of a knob. Whether it is an intense Italian ristretto (turn the knob to the right) or an American-style long coffee (turn the knob to the left) SBS delivers full flavor and a truly creamy finish.

Ceramic Coffee Grinder
The ceramic grinder is Saeco's most recent innovation. After careful research, Saeco chose this material to put an end to grinding with metal components. The new ceramic grinder provides a more consistent grind and less coffee residue left in the cup. The sturdy ceramic coffee grinder will quietly grind to the same high standard, for a long time.

Aqua Prima Water Filter
The Saeco Talea Ring Plus utilizes an Aqua Prima water filter. With the Aqua Prima filter, the number of flavor-altering substances found in water are reduced and any micro-particles and impurities are filtered. Enjoy the improved flavor and full aroma of your coffee. Aqua Prima also reduces the formation of lime scale in the machine.

Hot Water Dispenser & Rapid-Steam®Technology
The Talea Ring also features Saeco's patented Rapid-Steam® system. Turn the steam knob and have instant steam for cappuccinos or lattes. Other systems can have you waiting up to 45 seconds. With Rapid-Steam®, you’ll have consistent steam for repeated drinks. The special milk frothing tip delivers perfect froth every time, even if you have never frothed milk before. The steam wand is located on the right front of the machine and it accommodates frothing pitchers up to 32 oz. If you need instant hot water for making tea, hot cocoa, or Americanos, it's available at the press of a button.

Built-in 57 Ounce Water Tank
The water reservoir can easily be refilled while it is on the machine. It can also be removed with the easy-grip handle and filled at the kitchen tap. The reservoir is made of clear ABS plastic so checking the water level is a breeze.

For Perfect Coffee Extraction - a Powerful Pump
The on board pump delivers a maximum pressure of 15 bars. In other words, the Saeco S-TRP-ST has all the power it needs to properly extract espresso.

Coffee Bean Storage Hopper & Internal Waste Box
The built-in, lidded coffee bean hopper keeps 1/4 pounds of coffee beans fresh and ready for grinding. When the coffee grounds are spent, the machine delivers them to the internal dump box which can hold up to 15 expended coffee portions. On the Saeco Talea Ring Plus, ithe internal dump box is easy to remove and clean.

Stainless Steel Heating System
The Saeco Talea Ring Plus features a durable, stainless steel boiler. It provides for continuous use or many servings over a short time period.

Adjustable Drip Tray
The Saeco S-TRP-ST features an automated, adjustable-height drip tray that raises or lowers the cups below the coffee dispensing spouts. By pressing the button on the drip tray either up or down, a motor will automatically raise or lower the tray to the desired height.

Heated Cup Stacking Surface
Located on the top of this machine is a heated surface made of non-stick metal. Use this surface to stack up those espresso cups and keep them toasty. Using the on-screen functions, you can turn this feature on or off.

Rolling Base
The Saeco Talea Ring Plus has a rolling base that makes it easy to access all sides of your machine.

Cleaning & Maintenance of Components
In order to keep the inside of your machine healthy, it must be cleaned periodically. Scale buildup from naturally occurring minerals in your water can build up on sensitive components like the inside of the boiler. When left unchecked, this build up can cause considerable damage to the machine. By descaling your machine every two-three months, your machine will last for many trouble-free years.

The Saeco Talea Ring Plus will tell you when it’s time to activate the self-clean system. After adding the descaler, just press the clean button. The machine will take it from there.

Other areas of the machine are also easy to clean. Used coffee grounds are collected in the internal dump box. Simply empty it, rinse and reinsert. Wastewater left over from the rinsing cycles is stored in a removable drip tray. When the indicator light illuminates, simply pull out the tray, empty and reinsert in seconds. All components such as the used grounds container, drip tray, and water reservoir tank can be hand washed with regular soap and water.
